Qualified NATD Dance Instruction
The school is run by Geraldine Melia who is qualified and registered with The National Association of Teachers of Dancing (NATD) Geraldine Melia School of Dancing implements and follows it’s own Policies and Procedures for a safe practice specific to the school and also adheres to The NATD’s Code of Conduct and NATD’s Policies and Procedures regarding Safeguarding for Children and Adults. Geraldine also holds an NVQ level three qualification in Early Years Child Care and Education and also works along side the Development Matters Early Years Framework especially regarding the learning and developmental specific area of Expressive Arts when teaching young children. Geraldine is on the DBS system and currently holds a Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
Dance Styles in Ballroom inc: Waltz, Foxtrot, Quickstep, Tango & Viennese Waltz.
Latin American inc: Rumba, Cha Cha Cha, Samba, Paso Doble & Jive.
Club Dance inc: Salsa, Merengue, Mambo & Argentine Tango. NATD Qualified Tuition. Teaching private lessons including one off wedding dances please contact for more information and availability and like and follow this page for information about current and new classes.

This Dance School teaches social dancing including: Ballroom, Latin American, Club Dance (Alternative Rhythms) Rock n Roll & Sequence Dancing. Adults and Children.
Geraldine has more than 20 years working professionally with children and nearly as many years teaching dancing. The school also enters amateur and professional pupils in for annual examination sessions with The NATD.
Classes We Offer
New Classes starting in Solo Latin American dancing! No partners required. Learn routines and technique as a class without making physical contact. From Tuesday 6th September 6.30-7.15pm and then every Tuesday up until the Christmas holiday break. Partner beginners Ballroom & Latin classes start in January 2023. Regular Children’s classes on Wednesday evenings: Rainbows (under 8 years) 5.30-6.15pm. Juveniles (8-12 years) 6.15-7.15pm Juniors (12-16 years) 7.15- 8.15pm.
Adults (16 years+) syllabus and examination work, practice and routines on Thursday evenings 6pm-7.30pm. Adults social dancing 7.30-9pm. This session is also open to other dances who want to join for social dancing only. The school also holds workshops for pupil development and social fun.
